To date, Empties to WINN has collected over 3 million containers.

Recycling Statistics

When Winnifred Stewart Association first started the Empties to WINN program in partnership with Alberta Beverage Container Recycling Corporation (ABCRC) in June 2006, it placed 75 collection bins in one Edmonton neighbourhood.

Today, the program:
- operates city-wide in Edmonton, St. Albert, and Sherwood Park
- has a customer base of over 4,000 residential participants
- looks after 300 business and government agency participants
- keeps millions of beverage containers from entering local landfills

These recycling facts are solid proof that anyone, no matter who they are, can take advantage of our convenient services, help support an important local cause, and save the environment by recycling one beverage container at a time. It's a win-WINN situation for everyone!
